About Us
- Neon Sky Band formed in January of 2018 in Montrose, CO with the original 2 members Rusty Wouters and ZIN. Over the first couple of years the band following grew rapidly even with some lineup changes. We started out playing cover tunes from several genres like country, southern rock, classic rock, rockabilly, 90’s rock, and others. With the addition of Beau Miller on drums and Stephan Wargo, both formerly of the Johnson County Coroners, our sound started to take shape as a true southern rock band. The next year we added our sound man Chris Thomas to keep us sounding our best and soon found out he is a wizard on keys. Big John Shrader, a long time friend and a former member of Johnson County Coroners then showed everyone his skills on harmonica. This is now a 6 piece band of awesomeness. The influences for songwriting on our first EP record are rock, blues, and country music. Check it out in store or on your favorite online platform.
- Neon Sky Band still parties with killer cover tunes in addition to promoting our original work. We are ready to light up a wedding, corporate event, or festival stage on the western slope of Colorado.
